Rent Guarantee

Fortis Policy Summary

• 12 month policy - cover for up to 4 or 6 months rent payments depending on the policy purchased
• Cover provided for working tenants, DSS and Students(DSS and Students will require a guarantor)
• Rental arrears up to £15,000
• Legal & professional costs up to £25,000
• Covers costs associated with evicting a tenant up to £25,000
• One policy per property, not per person/tenant
• All property types excluding HMO's
• Cover is provided per incident up to the claim period or until vacant possession is gained whichever is sooner
• Benefit will not be paid in respect of an amount equal to the first months unpaid rent
• Cover continues to run beyond the policy expiry date in the event of a claim until it is settled
• Unlimited claims within the policy period
• All tenants or guarantors must have passed a suitable credit check by a reputable and recognised referencing agency , in addition a written current employment & current landlord reference (where applicable) must have been completed using a reputable and recognised referencing agency. AmTrust Europe Policy Summary

• Covers unpaid rent if a tenant refuses to pay and/or vacate the property
• Rental arrears up to £2,500 per month (maximum 12 months period)
• Legal & professional costs up to £10,000
• Covers costs associated with evicting a tenant up to £10,000
• One policy per property, not per person/tenant
• All property types excluding HMO's
• All tenant types can be covered excluding local authority referrals & asylum seekers
• Rent cover is provided for up to 12 months or until vacant possession is gained whichever happens the soonest
• Benefit will not be paid in respect of an amount equal to the first months unpaid rent
• Legal cover continues to run beyond the policy expiry date in the event of a claim until settled
• All tenants or guarantors must have passed a suitable credit check by a reputable and recognised referencing agency , in addition a written current employment & current landlord reference (where applicable) must have been completed using a reputable and recognised referencing agency.
