In the unfortunate event of a claim, we would like to offer as much assistance as we can. Our Insurers have provided us with a direct Legal Claims Notification and Advice Helpline number for you to call and for you to get the help whenever you need it.
We have detailed below the number to call as well as any procedures that need to be followed:
Claims Procedures
In order for us to help you, it is essential that you fully complete the Claim Form and provide the information that is requested on the Checklist, without this information we will not be able to proceed with your claim.
Ageas Rent Guarantee & Legal Expenses
7 days after payment date the landlord or agent must make contact with the tenant to find the reason for non-payment, this contact must be noted with date, time and method of contact.
If the tenant is 14 days overdue with rent and cannot be contacted, then the landlord or agent must serve notice to visit to make an inspection, if it is lawful to do so.
Within 30 days after the due date for the rent payment, the claim must be reported to the Insurers with full details.
Deposit Replacement
Within 30 days of any matter arising that could result in a claim being made under the policy, the claim must be reported to the Insurers with full details, the Claim Form and Checklist can be downloaded from here.
